This is exactly as a Vinho Verde should be. In abundance it has fresh herbal notes and is intensely limey with undercurrents of tropical melon thanks to the Portuguese sunshine. It's great when a wine has this level of intensity but maintains a moreish delicacy too. And this Vinho Verde does exactly that, giving it the ability to steal the show at aperitif time and holding its own throughout the first course too.
