A marriage of Bowmore from hand-selected American oak ex-bourbon casks and European oak oloroso sherry casks

The original Islay Single Malt, crafted with intent since 1779 to create an exceptionally expressive whisky.

Bowmore 15 year old reveals a mature, bright and sweet expression of our signature style. Light vanilla and candied orange aromas layer with a whiff of smoke. This unmistakable character is thanks to a marriage of whiskies matured for 15 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak oloroso sherry butts and puncheons.

Care is taken to add distinct layers of flavour at every stage: every action is judged and considered, from the hand-turned malt, dried in peat-fired kilns, to our longer fermentation times and hand-selected casks.

Bright and complex, Bowmore 15-Year-Old captivates. Immersed in a rich array flavours Sweet vanilla and toasted almonds mingle with stewed apple and baked pasties. Spicy cinnamon. Juicy sultanas and dark chocolate. Vivid candied orange. Mingling with signature smoke, each cask gently enhances the character with another layer of subtle flavour. Bourbon barrel maturation then three years in Oloroso sherry casks slowly absorbing whispers of sea air for a warming finish.
