This unique expression from Laphroaig® combines the unforgettable flavour of our 10 years old whisky with the sweet, aromatic flavours from the Oloroso sherry casks. This marriage of casks creates a rich, full bodied flavour with notes of Manuka honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside the classic smoke, seaweed and hint of salt that Laphroaig® is known and loved for. Laphroaig®, meaning "Beautiful hollow by the broad bay" has married malted barley with smoke from our native peat to produce one of the most richly flavoured of all Scotch whiskies since 1815. Distilled on the tiny island of Islay off the west coast of Scotland the flavour is as untamed as the island itself.

Laphroaig Scotch whisky has been dividing opinions since 1845, when Donald and Alexander Johnston first opened their distillery on the Isle of Islay. Its unique medicinal and smoky taste can be attributed to the island's peat. Rich in moss, lichen and heather, this peat is unlike anything found on the Scottish mainland. Good whisky needs good water, and the distillery has its own supply in the Kilbride stream which flows through the peat beds.
