Product Information

Meaning A'bunadh in Gaelic, it is made in homage to Aberlour’s founder, James Fleming. A'bunadh is a whisky hand-made from start to finish with each batch being created to ensure a rich and complex flavour of moist raisin, and homemade fruit cake.

The Aberlour A'Bunadh is a unique cask strength whisky that has achieved cult status among whisky connoisseurs, each batch is carefully made by hand. Created using only traditional methods without chill filtration or other modern processes, the result is a heavier, creamier single malt than most have ever experienced: memorably flavoursome, with an intense raisin character. It is bottled at cask strength resulting in a robust and deeply intense, sherried whisky.

Won Gold at the International Wine & Spirits Challenge 2021.

Preparation and Usage

Add a dash of water to Aberlour A'bunadh to release all the aromas and bring the whisky to an ideal drinking strength. A slight haze may appear in the whisky; this is due to the traditional production methods and does not affect its taste or quality.

Cooking guidelines

Douglas Cruickshank, our Master Distiller, recommends the addition of a dash of water to release all the aromas and bring the whisky to a perfect drinking strength. As a result of the traditional production methods we use for Aberlour a'bunadh, you may notice a slight cloudiness in the whisky when water is added. This misty appearance is perfectly natural and does not affect the taste or quality of this exceptional and unique whiskey
