The Lake District has long been a crucible for creativity, a place in which the imagination can flourish. The Lakes Distillery's Whiskymaker, Dhavall Gandhi, takes inspiration from the UNESCO World Heritage Site where a state-of-the-art distillery has been built meticulously within a 160-year-old farmstead on the banks of the River Derwent.
The One Collection is a range of fine blended whiskies showcasing the role of innovative cask seasoning in flavour elevation.
This release of The One is a singular blend of select grain and malt Scotch whiskies from Speyside and Islay with The Lakes Single Malt at its heart, finished in first-fill Oloroso and PX casks. A nose of Medjool dates, sun-dried raisins, sultanas and polished wood leads to Macadamia nuts, dark chocolate and gentle smoke on the palate with a long, warming and rich finish.
Non-chill filtered for a richer mouthfeel and fuller flavour, with only the natural colours derived from our oak casks in every bottle.
Enjoy as you please. Add a few drops of water to venture further into the flavour depths.
